Life is Short

My friend is now visiting South Africa. I talked to her by the phone – she has such a joyful and energetic voice. She promised to send me several pictures.

I also want to go somewhere very much! But for the time being I’m here…

About Architecture

I was always attracted with architecture.

But I was always amazed with absence of beauty in buildings constructed in the last century.

For example this a building of Cuba hotel Nacional

Did the architect who projected this building really have a task just to hand over the project as soon as possible? Probably in the future this style will be named as "the full absence of taste".

And this is the second photo which I have made last year, in the same place, on Cuba.

About this style in architecture many books are already written. Somebody can disagree, don’t like it, but this is the style! It exists and lives already hundreds years!

I just discussed this theme with my friend Artiom and he has told one interesting idea: "the Architecture is music in a stone"

It’s hard to disagree.
